This single-track, non-electrified line runs 72.1 km from Mino-Ota Station, at the intersection of the JR Takayama and Ota lines in central Gifu Prefecture, to its terminus at Kita-No Station. The route runs along tourist attractions with nature and distinctive culture nurtured by greenery and clear streams, such as "Minokamo City," where the old Nakasendo Ota Inn is located, "Tomika Town," the oldest town in Japan related to the family register, "Seki City," a town of cutlery and cormorant fishing, "Mino City," with its Mino-washi paper and udatsu-lined streets, and "Gujo City," where the castle town Gujo Hachiman is located with its Gujo Odori dance and clear streams. The tour will also take you to the "Gujo City" where the Gujo Odori dance and the castle town of Gujo Hachiman are located.
