Hokuetsu express Corporation.
Hokuetsu express Corporation.
Hokuetsu express operates the Hoku-Hoku Line, a 59.5 km long railroad line that starts in Muikamachi, Niigata Prefecture, one of the snowiest areas in the world, crosses the Shinano River, the largest river in Japan, and ends at Saigata on the Japan Sea coast. The line is used by local residents for commuting to and from work and school, as well as for business and sightseeing in the Tokyo metropolitan area, with comfortable access to the Shinkansen bullet train. The company operates the "Yumezora" Theater Train, which takes advantage of the special characteristics of the many tunnel sections (approximately 70% of the entire route), and the "Super Rapid Snow Rabbit," which takes advantage of the characteristics of the high-standard route. In addition, the "Art Festival Train" debuted this year, offering visitors the opportunity to view interactive light and sound artworks. We aim to continue to be a railroad that is loved and respected by everyone.
